Blair Pointe Announces Spelling Bee Winner for 2025-2026 School Year

Fifth grade student, Charlie Mathews, pictured on the left, is the winner of the Blair Pointe Upper Elementary Spelling Bee. On January 13, twenty students participated in the bee from grades five and six. Mathews' winning word, equestrian, came in round 8, and he spelled it with confidence to take the top spot.
Going to the end with Mathews, was sixth grade student, Sebastian Smith, pictured on the right.
Mathews will now move on to vie for a spot in the Regional Bee by competing in a regional qualification round. The qualification ends on February 25 and Mathews will know his standing at that point.
Congratulations to all spelling bee contestants and best of luck, Charlie.
