6th Grade Students Attend "The Boy from Troy" in Carmel Indiana

All Sixth grade students attended HERO- The Boy from Troy at the Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, Indiana. The play focused on the life and legacy of John Lewis. Lewis stood up for civil rights and eventually became a congressman to carry out his ideas.
"From an early age, John wanted to save things, and that included the chickens on his family's farm. It was neat to see how this carried on in his political career," Jack Taylor said.
Draven Smith learned that the actors were from New York City and have been working on the production since early December. The performers kept the students engaged throughout the performance.
