6th Grade LIFT Students "Light Up" the Classroom

Students in 6th grade LIFT are "lighting up the classroom " with hands-on science. Students are using teamwork to work through the scientific method with electrical circuits!!
Trevor Finnerty, a student in 6th grade, said he had some background knowledge already because he helped his grandpa build his ham-radio tower. It helped him to better understand the questions on current, voltage, and amplitude and he shared that with his group.
Student, Bennett Peck, said "When we connected all the clips to the batteries, the light bulb got very bright and it was fun to see how and why the light faded or would go out."
They didn't want to stop and were looking around the classroom for other conductors of electricity. Their excitement leads to great discussion!!
